[ erwin & mikasa ] I rememeber learning that one of the first advanced settlements was established on the region of mesopotamia, because of the favorable rivers, weather, and resources. However, it seems that today there are only ruins, and it really does intrigue me how cities that were so influential lost it during time ( some cities on the old west of the us and on greece are also an example). My question is, specifically to the city of Babylon, what actually happened that drove it to the state of ruins that exists today?
